Thousands of college football fans will be flocking to Downtown on Saturday, Dec. 28, as the Oklahoma Sooners clash with the LSU Tigers in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Kick-off time is 4 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and there are resale tickets and VIP packages still available at this link.
Before the game starts, there’s also the Peach Bowl Parade on Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Beginning at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Xernona Clayton Way (aka Baker Street), the free event will feature floats, classic cars, cheerleaders, mascots, award-winning marching bands and more.
After the parade, the Georgia World Congress Center is hosting FanFest from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with food, interactive games, entertainment, official limited edition merchandise, giveaways and more.
With traffic and parking sure to be hectic, officials are encouraging football fans to take MARTA to the Dome or Vine City stations. The transit system is encouraging riders to buy a roundtrip ticket on Saturday to avoid long lines at Breeze machines. The Atlanta Streetcar will also be running from 8:15 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday morning.
