Georgia Southern’s athletic department will have a new leader in 2020.
Tom Kleinlein has stepped down as the school’s director of athletics after leading the department for the last 8 years. He will pursue other opportunities, according to a release.
The university said it will begin a national search for a new athletic director and expects to announce an interim athletic director soon. Kleinlein’s resignation is effective on Jan. 21.
