Georgia Power customers will see a credit on their February bills as the utility company passes along the third round of savings in federal corporate taxes.
The credit comes after higher electricity rates took effect Jan. 1. The Georgia Public Service Commission on Dec. 17 approved higher rates for Georgia Power through Dec. 31, 2022 that total $1.68 billion over three years.
