Mexican prosecutors drop case against woman sentenced for killing man who was raping her

A court in Mexico State agreed that Roxana Ruiz was raped in 2021, but was still guilty of homicide with “excessive use of legitimate defense” and ordered to pay $16,000 to her attacker’s family.
