The Community Foundation of Central Georgia (CFCG) public charity is awarding $600,000 in grants to 32 nonprofits across the region. The funds will assist organizations addressing the most urgent needs and opportunities in Central Georgia communities, including challenges arising from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Collectively the grant recipients are working to improve the quality of life throughout the region. Funds for the annual grants come from CFCG’s unrestricted endowment, which has been made possible by individual donors.
This year’s grant recipients include:
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Heart of Georgia – Mentoring for Change in Central Georgia: $25,000.00
- Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia— Project Operation Barnesville-Lamar Boys & Girls Club: $18,000.00
- Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County – Family Support 2021: $21,000.00
- Crisis Line & Safe House of Central GA – Client Assistance Fund: $25,000.00
- Crossroads Christian Counseling Center Inc. – Monthly Community Outreach and Technology Needs: $14,420.00
- Dodge Connection-Communities In Schools of Dodge County Inc. – Dodge Handle With Care: $9,390.00
- Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia – Counseling & Therapeutic Services: $18,000.00
- Fathers Among Men – 2021 Pathway to Manhood: $18,000.00
- Friends of Douglass Theatre Complex – The Douglass Theatre: $18,000.00
- Genesis Joy House Homeless Shelter Inc. – Where Hope Finds a Home: $18,000.00
- Georgia College & State University Foundation – The Rising MiSTER Scholarship: $18,000.00
- I Am King Foundation Inc. – I AM KING BOYS CAMP: $21,000.00
- Macon Area Habitat for Humanity Inc. – “Covering” Our Base: $18,000.00
- Macon Arts Alliance – Operational Support: $18,000.00
- Macon Housing Moving To Success Inc. – Family and Senior Impact Services: $18,000.00
- Macon Outreach – Feeding Program: $25,000.00
- Motivating Youth Foundation Inc. – Adult Readiness Program: $21,000.00
- Nana Grants Inc. – Childcare Support For Single Mothers: $18,000.00
- NewTown Macon Inc. – Christmas Light Extravaganza 3rd St. Expansion: $18,000.00
- Otis Redding Foundation – Otis Redding Center for Creative Arts: $18,000.00
- Promise of Hope Inc. – Facility Improvement and Additions: $18,000.00
- Real IMPACT Center Inc. – Virtual STEM Curriculum and Operational Support: $15,000.00
- Rebuilding Macon Inc. – Emergency Home Repairs: $25,000.00
- The Arc Macon Inc. – Virtual Day Support Programs: $14,200.00
- The Mentors Project – Operation COVID – 19 Response: $18,000.00
- The Methodist Home for Children and Youth – Transitional Living Program Start-Up: $21,000.00
- The Mosaic Development Inc. – Tools for Change Apprenticeship Program: $18,000.00
- The Salvation Army of Macon GA – Social Service Assistance: $18,000.00
- The Salvation Army of Milledgeville – Financial Assistance Support: $18,000.00
- The Salvation Army of Warner Robins – Domestic Violence Safe House: $21,000.00
- The Urban CEO – The Urban Leadership Academy 2.0: $18,000.00
- Volunteers of America Georgia – COVID Relief Services: $18,000.00
